I Love Rose Gold
A few months ago, after scheming for months on a Michael Kors Rose Gold watch, I finally got my new little piece of heaven. I personally do not wear or even own any yellow gold jewelry. So when this new rose gold came out, I was hooked. It’s that perfect feminine, delicate blend in between gold and silver. Absolutely gorgeous.
Typically when I do a post about a new trend or hot item, I try and post a few items within a few different ranges of prices to fit everyone. However, because rose gold is rare as it is, I can tell you right now, it’s the one thing you won’t find sitting on the shelves at Forever 21. It’s not for everyone. Some people prefer gold and would never wear rose gold, but what I have noticed is that rose gold looks stunning on every skin tone.
If you’re curious to know; rose gold is produced by mixing pure 24k yellow gold with copper. It’s no different than white gold except which elements the yellow gold is mixed with. Any karat other than 24 is considered “alloy” which is less pure gold and more of other elements. Now obviously most of the watches I listed (except Rolex) are rose gold plated stainless steel. But that goes the same for most of the other MK watches and other brands you typically see at these prices. I really hope none of you were parading around thinking your Michael Kors gold watch was … real gold. 😉
Here’s an interesting article I found in the Los Angeles Times if you would like to know more.
