I’ve never been a huge fan of facials- and that’s not because I don’t like them, but because I had always seen them more as something that I really didn’t need, never having any major skin issues (thankfully). However, it was back around when I turned 16 that I started using a line of face products referred by a friend called Caudalie. Back over a decade ago, we weren’t as aware or interested in the ingredients that went into products as we are today. I originally was hooked on Caudalie simply because the products were super amazing on my skin. I was never left with a breakout and my skin constantly felt very hydrated and clean.

It wasn’t until a few years ago that I did more research into the line and found that the line consists of all natural products, most from the grape extracts from the founders own vineyard in Bordeaux, France. The Caudalie line is also completely free of parabens, phenoxyethanol, paraffin, mineral oils, sodium laureth sulfate and artifical colorings and is also not tested on animals. These findings were just an added bonus.

My grandmother always told me one thing consistently and that was, spend the money on your face – meaning, if you are going to spend money on anything it should be natural products that will take care of your face and keep you looking youthful. I am not an expert in beauty science, but I do believe that using crap products on your face… in time… will leave your skin looking aged, tired and raw. Many of the products that you think are safe and good for your skin because they are behind big brand names, are actually doing more harm than good.

Caudalie Venice | The Facial

If you live on the east coast or west coast, I HIGHLY recommend trying a facial at one of Caudalie’s boutique spas. The facial itself is hands down one of the most amazing, luxurious treatments I’ve ever had in my life, and there is no better way to pamper yourself than a little TLC on the beautiful front and center. Facials run upwards of about $95 but are worth every. single. penny. No doubt.
